El trabajo aborda, desde un enfoque empirico, la trayectoria de la revista Perspectivas en Psicologia a traves del estudio de los articulos publicados en ella desde su lanzamiento. El analisis se basa en la aplicacion del metodo bibliometrico en todas aquellas contribuciones incluidas dentro de las categorias de trabajos de investigacion y trabajos de revision teorica. Los indicadores propuestos intentan trazar un panorama sobre el perfil tematico de la publicacion y las caracteristicas de la autoria desde el punto de vista de la colaboracion, origen disciplinar y filiacion institucional.  Finalmente se observa el grado de visibilidad que posee esta fuente dentro de un conjunto de revistas nacionales pertenecientes a la psicologia.

Despite the consensus among health professionals regarding the recognition of depressive symptoms in childhood and adolescence, their diagnosis still presents diffi culties. The literature points to the Children's Depression Inventory (CDI) as a widely used instrument to measure this construct. This article reviews the scientifi c articles about the CDI published in Brazilian journals from 2000 to 2010. It was found that most of the re- search studies were conducted after 2005, in school sett ings, with both boys and girls, and aimed to evaluate the association of depressive symptoms and psychosocial variables. The studies reported good reliability indices for the CDI, however, there were diff erences regarding its factorial structure. New studies are necessary to prove the validity of the CDI as a useful measure to evaluate depressive symptoms in children and adolescents.

Abstract
BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF THE JOURNAL “PERSPECTIVAS EN PSICOLOGIA”: THEMATIC PROFILE, AUTHORSHIP, AND VISIBILITY The aim of this work is to study, from an empirical approach, the trajectory of the journal Perspectives in Psychology through the study of articles published in it since its launch. The analysis is based on the application of bibliometric method in all those contributions included within the categories of research and theoretical revision works. The proposed indicators attempts are the thematic profile of the publication and the characteristics of the authorship from the point of view of collaboration, origin discipline and institutional affiliation. Finally this work study the degree of visibility that owns this journal within a collection of national journals belonging to psychology.

Análisis bibliométrico de la revista perspectivas en psicología: perfil temático, autoría y visibilidad

The 40 years of the Psico journal: A bibliometric review The present study examined all the texts published in the Psico journal since its first issue (1971-2010). 1018 texts were analyzed, including articles, experience reports, editorials and others. The material was analyzed and organized based on 5 categories: 1) number of texts; 2) language of the texts; 3) type of texts; 4) methodological approach; and 5) origin place of the publication. From the results, we could draw a timeline of the main editorial changes of Psico journal, the author’s characterization regarding their amount and sex, and their frequency of publication. Finally, it was verified what keywords appeared most frequently along the periodic publications.
