Effect of the surface treatment on the structural, morphological, magnetic and biological properties of MFe2O4 iron spinels (M = Cu, Ni, Co, Mn and Fe)

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed to obtain iron spinels MFe2O4, and their hybrids MFe 2O4@SiO2 and their corresponding spinels, MFe3O4 and MFe4/SiO 2/chitosan from the surface modification with 3-aminopropyl trimethoxysilane agent and functionalization with chitosans, and then evaluate them as to their structure, morphology, magnetism and cytotoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of TiO2 by the pechini method and photocatalytic degradation of methyl red

TL;DR: In this paper, the photocatalytic degradation of methyl red dye in aqueous solution was evaluated using X-ray diffraction, phase quantification by Rietveld structure refinement, and textural analysis by nitrogen adsorption.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of Ni-Zn ferrites doped with Cu as catalyst in the transesterification of soybean oil to methyl esters

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of Ni0.5Zn0.4 ferrite doped with 0.1 and 0.4 mol of Cu was evaluated for the transesterification of soybean oil to biodiesel, using methanol.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sintering of Ni-Zn ferrite nanopowders by the constant heating rate (CHR) method

TL;DR: In this paper, a nonisothermal sintering method using a constant heating rate (CHR) was studied using Ni-Zn ferrite powders, with average particle size varying from 18 nm to 29 nm, were uniaxially pressed and sintered in an horizontal dilatometer.
