Preterm infant circulating sex steroid levels are not altered by transfusion with adult male plasma: a retrospective multicentre cohort study
Anders Nilsson,Gunnel Hellgren,Ulrika Sjöbom,Andreas Landin,Henrik Ryberg,Dirk Wackernagel,David Ley,Ingrid Hansen Pupp,T. Poutanen,Claes Ohlsson,A. Hellstrom +10 more
TL;DR: A single transfusion of adult male plasma to preterm infants had no impact on circulating sex steroid levels and sex hormones delivered via plasma transfusions from adult male donors to very pre term infants do not alter the circulating plasma concentrations in the infant.
Journal ArticleDOI
The proteome signature of cord blood plasma with high hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell count.
Anders Nilsson,Halfdan Rydbeck,Annika Thorsell,Sofia Frändberg,Helena Barreto Henriksson,Camilla Hesse,Gunnel Hellgren,Pia Lundgren,Ann Hellström +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors compared the plasma proteome of UCB with high vs low HSPC cell count by using a combination of global untargeted MS quantitative proteomics and targeted proximity extension assay (PEA) proteomics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fatty acid composition of milk from mothers giving birth at extremely low gestation in Sweden
Ulrika Sjöbom,Osman Cismaan,Ingrid Hansen-Pupp,Dirk Wackernagel,Karin Sävman,Ann Hellström,Anders Nilsson +6 more
TL;DR: In this article , the FA composition in milk obtained from mothers of extremely low gestational age (<28 weeks) infants on three occasions during lactation was investigated and it was shown that the proportion of LCPUFAs was low and declined significantly during milk maturation.
Journal ArticleDOI
