Mole: A scalable, user-generated WiFi positioning engine

TL;DR: Mole is described, a mobile organic localization engine that employs several new techniques, including a new statistical positioning algorithm to differentiate between neighboring places, a motion detector to reduce update lag, and a scalable “cloud”-based fingerprint distribution system.

Null subframe indication for coexistence between different network types

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a method to detect the presence of a second radio access technology in the same areas of the radio frequency spectrum as a first radio access system by indicating information about a null power subframe.

Interference avoidance and power savings for coexistence among different radio access technologies

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose to detect within a predefined interval, of a resource allocation of the coexisting 2 nd RAT whether the resource allocation (e.g., one subframe) is occupied or vacant.

Performance Evaluation of IEEE 802.11n WLAN in Dense Deployment Scenarios

TL;DR: This paper compares DCF with an existing Wi-Fi mechanisms, Power-Save Multi-Poll (PSMP) and Hybrid Coordination Function (HCF) Controlled Channel Access (HCCA), and shows that, although standard scheduled access techniques enhance WiFi throughput, they also suffer a decrease on performance in dense deployments.

Performing measurements in wireless network

TL;DR: In this paper, the measurement groups in a wireless network are assigned by broadcast messages transmitted in the wireless network and the measurement group may be announced by measurement group information comprised in a broadcast message.
