Proceedings ArticleDOI
Transfer of samples in batch reinforcement learning
TL;DR: A novel algorithm is introduced that transfers samples from the source tasks that are mostly similar to the target task, and is empirically show that, following the proposed approach, the transfer of samples is effective in reducing the learning complexity.
Book ChapterDOI
Evolutionary Learning of Fuzzy rules: competition and cooperation
TL;DR: The problem of learning fuzzy rules using Evolutionary Learning techniques, such as Genetic Algorithms and Learning Classifier Systems, are discussed.
Proceedings Article
Reinforcement Learning in Continuous Action Spaces through Sequential Monte Carlo Methods
TL;DR: A novel actor-critic approach in which the policy of the actor is estimated through sequential Monte Carlo methods, and results obtained in a control problem consisting of steering a boat across a river are reported.
Book ChapterDOI
An Introduction to Learning Fuzzy Classifier Systems
TL;DR: A class of Learning Classifier Systems that learn fuzzy rule-based models, instead of interval-based or Boolean models is presented, and a general methodology to extend reinforcement distribution algorithms usually not designed to learn fuzzy models is introduced.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Automatic Error Detection and Reduction for an Odometric Sensor based on Two Optical Mice
TL;DR: An automatic procedure to reduce non-systematic errors of the sensor is presented and validated with experimental results on a real mobile robot.
