Values of attribute fields that determine white list(s), black list(s), or white list profile(s) can be generated through various sources. An access list management component facilitates generation and maintenance of white list(s), black list(s), or white list profile(s). Values for identifier attribute field(s) available for inclusion in a white list are validated prior to inclusion therein. Various example aspects such as white list(s) management, maintenance and dissemination; automatic population or pre-configuration; and inclusion of wireless device(s) or subscriber(s) are also provided.

Access control lists and profiles to manage femto cell coverage

A femto cell service framework is utilized for purchase and service of femtocell equipment and customer support thereof. A point of sale (POS) platform enables purchase of femtocell equipment based on a set of eligibility criteria. POS also allows purchase of add-on services. Direct fulfillment and post-sale transactions such as returns and equipment replacement are also provided. An account management service enables femtocell equipment and service self-care or through customer representatives. Configuration of service account and monitoring of account status is provided. Customer care architecture also enables remote troubleshooting of purchased equipment. Remote troubleshooting includes diagnosis and related manipulation of purchased equipment.

Point of sales and customer support for femtocell service and equipment

Access management to femto cell service is provided through access control list(s) (e.g., white list(s), or black list(s)). A mechanism for reciprocal addition of access field attributes in access control lists and white list profiles also is provided. The mechanism allows at least in part for a first subscriber to be added to a configured white list of a second subscriber, when the first subscriber configures a new white list, the second subscriber is reciprocally incorporated in the new white list. Such mechanism can be driven and facilitates generation of associations among groups of subscribers that share specific commonalities.

Reciprocal addition of attribute fields in access control lists and profiles for femto cell coverage management

Traffic and signaling are routed between a set of networked femto access points (APs) and location-based services are enabled. A femto AP in the set of femto APs is functionally linked to a routing platform that manages traffic and signaling, and is functionally connected to a controller component that relays at least part of data and control to a femto network platform. The femto network platform allows access to one or more external networks. Routing platform can exchange signaling with one or more femto APs to enable, at least in part, location-based services based at least in part on identifier(s) for a femto AP, access privileges, or time-of-flight measurements that assess propagation timing between a mobile device and a femto AP. Routing platform can supply timing configuration to enable predetermined spatial resolution of location estimates. Location estimates can be recorded and conveyed to a consumer layer.

Location-based services in a femtocell network

System(s) and method(s) are provided to manage signaling in a femto cell access point. A pilot signal power profile, or pilot signal gating, determines transmitted a time-dependent pilot signal power. The power profile displays a duty cycle well below 100% and a power depth, which is the amplitude between maximum and minimum pilot signal power, determined partially upon radio link conditions. The time-dependent power profile can be established through a schedule based at least in part on attachment data or subscriber input; machine-learning method facilitate inferring the schedule. Pilot signal gating profile can be reused in a femto cell deployment to broaden femto cell identification and thus facilitate macro-to-femto handover. Activating/deactivating pilot signal in a femto cell in the scheduled and synchronized manner provided herein leads to macro-femto interference mitigation and mobility improvement(s), and improved battery life of wireless devices that operate in a wireless environment that includes femto cells.
