Bidimensional self-assembling of [HgII(RPhNNNPhR')2] (R = acetyl, R' = F) through metal-η4-arene π-interactions and non classical C-H···O bonding : Synthesis and X-ray characterization of a bis diaryl asymmetric-substituted triazenide complex polymer of Hg(II)

Fifteen triazenes compounds were studied concerning their antibacterial activity by broth microdilution method. Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) was determined with E. coli ATCC 25922, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853, Acinetobacter baumannii, Acinetobacter lwoffii, Ralstonia pickettii, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Micrococcus sp., Enterococcus sp., Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Bacillus cereus, Corynebacterium sp., Rhodococcus sp., Salmonella sp., Serratia marcescens, Morganella morganii, Enterobacter cloacae, Shigella flexneri, Shigella sonnei, Shigella sp., Klebsiella pneumoniae, ESBL Klebsiella oxytoca 14, ESBL Klebsiella pneumoniae 23, ESBL Klebsiella pneumoniae 24, ESBL Klebsiella pneumoniae 25, ESBL Escherichia coli 26, ESBL Klebsiella pneumoniae 27, ESBL Klebsiella pneumoniae 31, ESBL Escherichia coli 32, ESBL Klebsiella pneumoniae 37 e ESBL Escherichia coli 38. The highest effect was evidenced by the compound 1-methyl-3-(p-carboxyphenyl)triazene 1-oxide (2) against Streptococcus agalactiae (MIC = 16 µg/mL and MBC = 32 µg/mL). The compounds 1-phenyl-3-(4-nitrophenyl)triazene-1-oxide (9), 1-(4-nitrophenyl)-3-(4-carboxyphenyl)triazene (10) e 1-(4-acethyl amine phenyl)-3-(4-carboxyphenyl)triazene (11) presented MIC between 32 and 64 µg/mL against S. edipermidis, S. saprophyticus, Rhodococcus sp. and E. cloacae. The compounds 1-methyl-3-phenyltriazene-1-oxide (1) , bis-1,3-(4-acethyl oxime)triazene (3), bis-1,3 (4-acethyl phenyl)triazene (4), 1-(2-fluorophenyl)-3-(4-acethylphenyl)triazene (5), 1,3-(3-hydroxy-diphenyltriazenide)(piridil)(bis-oxo-vanadium) (12), 1-(3-nitrophenyl)-3-phenyltriazene (14), 1-(4-nitrophenyl)-3-benzyltriazene (15) presented MIC of the 128 µg/mL against S. aureus ATCC 25923, P. aeruginosa ATCC 27853, A. lwoffii, Micrococcus sp., S. epidermidis, S. saprophyticus, Corynebacterirum sp., E. cloacae, S. flenneri e S. sonnei. The compounds 1-phenyl-3-(4-acethylphenyl)triazene (6), 1,3-bis-(4-ethoxycarbonylphenyl) triazene (7), and 3-(4-carboxylatephenyl)-1-methyltriazene 1-oxide of potassium tetrahydrate (13) presented MICs equals or highest than 128 µg/mL. The results have demonstrated the potential biological activity of these compounds against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

2-Methoxy-4-nitrobenzenediazonium Salt as a Practical Diazonium-Transfer Agent for Primary Arylamines via Tautomerism of 1,3-Diaryltriazenes: Deaminative Iodination and Arylation of Arylamines without Direct Diazotization

The reaction of [1,3-bis(2-ethoxy)benzene]triazene, [HL], with Hg(SCN)2 and Hg(CH3COO)2, resulted in the formation of the complexes [HgL(SCN)] (1) and [HgL2]·CH3OH (2). They were characterized by means of X-ray crystallography, CHN analysis, FT-IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The structure of compound 1 consists of two independent complexes in which the HgII atoms are stacked along the crystallographic a axis to form infinite chains. Each HgII atom is chelated by one L ligand and one SCN ligand, whereas in compound 2, the HgII atom is surrounded by two L ligands. In addition, 1D chains formed by metal–π interactions are connected to each other by C–H···π stacking interactions in the structure of 1, which results in a 2D architecture. An interesting feature of compound 2 is the presence of C–H···π edge-to-face interactions.

Structural and Solution Studies of two Mercury(II) Complexes with [1,3‐Bis(2‐ethoxy)benzene]triazene

Synthesis of two new asymmetric ligands: 1-(2-ethoxyphenyl)-3-(2-methoxycarbonylphenyl)triazene (HL) (1) and 1-(2-methoxyphenyl)-3-(2-methoxycarbonylphenyl)triazene (HL′) (2) are reported. The prepared triazenes are functionalized by ethoxy and methoxy groups in the ortho positions, respectively. The related monomeric complexes, [HgL2] (3) and [HgL′2] (4), were prepared by the reacting of the corresponding ligands with Hg(NO3)2 salt in methanol as solvent. All compounds were characterized by CHN analysis, FT-IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy. According to the crystal structures of 1 and 2, the N–N bond distances indicate the presence of alternating single and double bonds, and hence the –N=N–NH– moiety. On coordination, each triazene was deprotonated and as a result, a resonance structure is formed between nitrogens which let them to be a tridentate ligand. Mercury(II) complexes containing new ortho-functionalized asymmetric triazene ligands: synthesis, crystal structures, and solution studies

In the title compound, [Cd(C12H8F2N3)2(C5H5N)2], the Cd atom lies on a crystallographic twofold axis in space group Iba2. The coordination geometry about the Cd(II) ion corresponds to a rhombically distorted octahedron, with two deprotonated 1,3-bis(2-fluorophenyl)triazenide ions, viz. FC6H4NNNC6H4F-, acting as bidentate ligands (four-electron donors). Two neutral pyridine (py) molecules complete the coordination sphere in positions cis with respect to one another. The triazenide ligand is not planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.204 A), the dihedral angle between the phenyl rings of the terminal 2-fluorophenyl substituents being 24.6 (1) degrees. The triazenide and pyridine Cd-N distances are 2.3757 (18)/2.3800 (19) and 2.3461 (19) A, respectively. Intermolecular C-H.F interactions generate sheets of molecules in the (010) plane.

cis-Bis[1,3-bis(2-fluorophenyl)triazenido-κ2N1, N3]bis(pyridine-κN)cadmium(II)

The crystal structure of the title compound, C(14)H(12)N(4)O(3), shows that the stereochemistry about the N=N double bond of the N=N-N(H) moiety is trans. The whole molecule is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0654 A), the interplanar angle between the phenyl rings being 0.7 (1) degrees and the largest interplanar angle being that between the phenyl ring and the nitro group of the 4-nitrophenyl substituent [11.5 (2) degrees ]. Intermolecular N-H.O interactions between molecules related by translation give rise to chains along the [110] and [1-10] directions, and these chains are held together by N.O pi-pi interactions. An unequal distribution of the double-bond character among the N atoms suggests a delocalization of pi electrons over the diazoamine group and the adjacent aryl substituents.
