Circuits, systems and methods are provided that may be implemented using a corrosion sensor that employs a differential bridge circuit layout to detect corrosion events occurring to corrosion-sensitive components such as exposed electronic circuits. In one possible implementation, a detection circuit may be coupled to a corrosion coupon that includes the differential bridge circuit layout, and that is exposed to corrosive conditions such as ambient atmospheric conditions that contain contaminants (e.g., pollutants), humidity, particulates, etc.; as well as varying temperatures.

A method of adjusting monitoring parameters in a pool of data storage appliances may include receiving an event notification from a process scheduler of a monitoring system. The event notification may include an indication that a process monitoring the pool of data storage appliances has completed. The method may also include determining an event type for the event notification, and receiving one or more executable rules that are specific to the event type of the event notification. The one or more executable rules may adjust the monitoring parameters of the monitoring system with respect to the pool of data storage appliances. The method may further include executing the one or more executable rules such that the monitoring parameters of the monitoring system are adjusted.

An information handling system includes a dynamic random access memory, and a processor. The dynamic random access memory includes a lower memory portion and multi-channel dynamic random access memory portion. The dynamic random access memory is allocated to operations of a boot process of the information handling system. The processor communicates with the dynamic random access memory. The processor determines whether a fast memory allocation service is detected in the boot process. In response to the fast memory allocation being detected, the processor allocates the multi-channel dynamic random access memory portion of the dynamic random access memory to operations of the boot process.

System and method to allocate available high bandwidth memory to UEFI pool services

A method of executing processor-specific code to include board-specific optimizations in a Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) may include executing first instructions that are specific to a processor, where the first instructions may be executed within a UEFI firmware routine. The method may also include detecting a portion of the first instructions that requires information to be processed or provided by second instructions, where the second instructions may be specific to a circuit board on which the processor is installed. The method may further include sending, through an intermediate dispatch function, a request for the information to be processed or provided by the second instructions, where the intermediate dispatch function can decouple the first instructions from the second instructions.

Unified extensible firmware interface updates

A method and an information handling system (IHS) for authenticating unified extensible firmware interface (UEFI) images in an IHS. The method includes receiving, by a processor of the IHS, a request to authenticate an image. The method also includes determining a type of the image and retrieving, from an entry within a UEFI signature database, a certificate utilized to sign the image. The method further includes determining a verification entry of a verification database of the HIS that corresponds to the entry of the UEFI signature database and identifying, from the verification entry, a particular type of image which the certificate may be used to authenticate. The method further includes determining whether the type of the image is the particular type. In response to determining the type of the image is the particular type, the method includes authenticating the image using the certificate.

Selective enforcement of secure boot database entries in an information handling system

Systems and methods are provided that may be implemented to securely load Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) images (e.g., UEFI Applications, UEFI Drivers, UEFI firmware volumes, etc.) onto an information handling system from an authenticated (e.g., OEM authenticated) hardware image source device or “IO store” (e.g., such as USB device, network file system device, PCIe device, network storage, shared storage, dynamic RAM disk, etc.) based on a UEFI virtual device path that is mapped to an authenticated hardware device path that is established for the authenticated hardware image source device.
