Journal ArticleDOI

Detection of Plasmodiophora Brassicae By PCR in Naturally Infested Soils

TL;DR: The results indicate that the primers used are general for P. brassicae, and consequently the nested PCR assay has a potential to be developed as a routine diagnostic test.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clubroot, a persistent threat to Swedish oilseed rape production

TL;DR: In this article, DNA-based soil analyses for the presence of Plasmodiophora brassicae have been offered to farmers in order to improve their crop rotation planning.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intercropping Maize and Faba Bean for Silage Under Swedish Climate Conditions

TL;DR: The results showed that intercropping silage maize and faba beans is possible under Swedish climate conditions and improves the forage quality compared with sole maize.

Special Issue: Clubroot, a persistent threat to Swedish oilseed rape production

TL;DR: To aid in race diagnostics, resistance breeding efforts, and in understanding the biology of this Plasmodiophorid, the sequencing of the P. brassicae genome has been initiated in Sweden.
Journal ArticleDOI

Seed distance in relation to row distance: Effect on grain yield and weed biomass in organically grown winter wheat, spring wheat and spring oats

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of seed distance in relation to row distance was studied in 10 field trials on spring wheat, spring oats and winter wheat, and three seed distances within rows were applied: (1) Normal for the region, (2) Reduced to 2/3 the normal, and (3) reduced to half the normal.
