Journal ArticleDOI
Q/R editing of the rat GluR5 and GluR6 kainate receptors in vivo and in vitro: evidence for independent developmental, pathological and cellular regulation.
Anne Bernard,Lotfi Ferhat,Frédéric Dessi,Gérard Charton,Alfonso Represa,Yezekiel Ben-Ari,Michel Khrestchatisky +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that in’vivo, Q/R editing in the GluR5 and GLUR6 mRNAs is modulated during ontogeny and differs substantially in a variety of nervous tissues, and suggests that editing of these mRNas is not co‐regulated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differential interaction of the tSXV motifs of the NR1 and NR2A NMDA receptor subunits with PSD-95 and SAP97.
TL;DR: Using the two‐hybrid genetic system in yeast and site‐directed mutagenesis, the binding of the NR2A, NR1‐3 andNR1‐4 tSXV motifs with the PDZ domains of PSD‐95 and SAP97 is compared.
Journal ArticleDOI
MAP2d promotes bundling and stabilization of both microtubules and microfilaments
TL;DR: Analysis of the effects of MAP2c and MAP2d expression on microtubule and microfilament organization in transiently transfected cells shows that both variants stabilize microtubules, but onlyMAP2d stabilizes microfilaments.
Journal ArticleDOI
DeveIopmentalIy ReguIated Alternative SpIicing of mRNAs encoding N‐Terminal Tau Variants in the Rat Hippocampus: Structural and Functional Implications
Joan Collet,Lotfi Fehrat,Hélène Pollard,Lluís Ribas de Pouplana,Gérard Charton,Anne Bernard,Jo'lle Moreau,Yezekiel Ben-Ari,Michel Khrestchatisky +8 more
TL;DR: The timing and pattern of tau alternative splicing were maintained in cultured hippocampal neurons, suggesting that splicing processes are independent of the organized connectivity and of the environmental cues provided in vivo.
