TL;DR: AMH seems to be a better marker in predicting ovarian response to controlled ovarian stimulation than age of the patient, FSH, estradiol and inhibin B, and a similar performance for AMH and antral follicular count has been reported.

TL;DR: A strong correlation between serum AMH levels and ovarian response to gonadotrophin stimulation is demonstrated and for the first time, clinicians may have a reliable serum marker of ovarian response that can be measured independently of the day of the menstrual cycle.

TL;DR: AMH levels appear to represent the quantity of the ovarian follicle pool and may become a useful marker of ovarian reserve and in patients with premature ovarian failure AMH is undetectable or greatly reduced depending of the number of antral follicles in the ovaries.
