Application of Artificial Neural Network modeling for optimization and prediction of essential oil yield in turmeric (Curcuma longa L.)
TL;DR: This study indicates that ANN based prediction model is a suitable way of predicting oil yield at a new site and to optimize the yield of turmeric oil at a particular site by changing the changeable parameters of the prediction model and thus is of enough commercial significance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Agroclimatic zone based metabolic profiling of turmeric (Curcuma Longa L.) for phytochemical yield optimization
I. Sriram Sandeep,Ananya Kuanar,Abdul Akbar,Basudeba Kar,Suryasnata Das,Antaryami Mishra,Parshuram Sial,Pradeep Kumar Naik,Sanghamitra Nayak,Sujata Mohanty +9 more
TL;DR: Essential experimental data is provided that could find effective use in yield optimization and managing varying environmental parameters of this important species for high and quality yield of curcumin, rhizome and leaf essential oil.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of Prediction Model and Experimental Validation in Predicting the Curcumin Content of Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.).
Abdul Akbar,Ananya Kuanar,Raj Kumar Joshi,I. S. Sandeep,Sujata Mohanty,Pradeep Kumar Naik,Antaryami Mishra,Sanghamitra Nayak +7 more
TL;DR: The results showed that feed-forward ANN model with 8 nodes (MLFN-8) was the most suitable one with R2 value of 0.91, and sensitivity analysis revealed that minimum relative humidity, altitude, soil nitrogen content and soil pH had greater effect on curcumin content.

Preparation of GPS and GIS based soil fertility maps for Khurda district, Odisha.
Journal ArticleDOI
Soil Fertility Maps Preparation Using GPS and GIS in Dhenkanal District, Odisha, India
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used GPS and Geographical Information System (GIS) to make awareness among the farmers regarding use of balanced fertilization according to soil test based recommendation and integrated nutrient management for higher and sustainable crop production.
