Hybrid Polyester Composites Reinforced with Curauá Fibres and Nanoclays
Gilberto Garcia del Pino,Antonio Claudio Kieling,Abderrezak Bezazi,Haithem Boumediri,Juliana Fontolan Rolim de Souza,Francisco Rolando Valenzuela Díaz,Jose Luis Valin Rivera,Jamile Dehaini,Túlio Hallak Panzera +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a hybrid polyester composite consisting of Curaua natural fibres and organophilic clay nanoparticles was used to identify the effects of fibre fraction (10, 20 and 30 wt), alkaline treatment concentration (NaOH, 2.5, 5, 5 and 10 wt%), treatment time (2, 4 and 8 h) and nanoparticle content (2.5 and 2.10 wt%).
Journal ArticleDOI
Hybrid epoxy composites made from treated curauá fibres and organophilic clay
Gilberto Garcia del Pino,Abderrezak Bezazi,Haithem Boumediri,Antonio Claudio Kieling,Cláudia Cândida Silva,Jamile Dehaini,Jose Luis Valin Rivera,Maria das Graças da Silva Valenzuela,Francisco Rolando Valenzuela Díaz,Túlio Hallak Panzera +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an epoxy composite reinforced with curaua fibres and/or organophilic clay is evaluated, and the performance of nano-clays is evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Wood-plastic Composite Based on Recycled Polypropylene and Amazonian Tucumã ( Astrocaryum aculeatum ) Endocarp Waste
Antonio Claudio Kieling,Genilson Pereira Santana,Maria Cristina dos Santos,José Costa de Macêdo Neto,Gilberto Garcia del Pino,Marcos Dantas dos Santos,Sérgio Duvoisin,Túlio Hallak Panzera +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a wood-plastic composite (WPC) made from recycled polypropylene (PP) and Tucuma endocarp powder (TEP) without coupling agents was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimal Tensile Properties of Biocomposites Made of Treated Amazonian Curauá Fibres Using Taguchi Method
Gilberto Garcia del Pino,Abderrezak Bezazi,Haithem Boumediri,Antonio Claudio Kieling,Sofia Dehaini Garcia,Aristides Rivera Torres,Rogerio de Souza Soares,José Costa de Macêdo Neto,Jamile Dehaini,Túlio Hallak Panzera +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the use of an Amazonian plant, namely Curaua (Ananas erectifolius), as a reinforcement phase of biocomposites fabricated by cold pressing.
Estudio del comportamiento resistivo de planchas de material compuesto y de asbesto cemento//Study of the resistive behavior of composite plates and asbestos-cement
Antonio Claudio Kieling,Roberto Estrada Cingualbres,Genilson Pereira Santana,José Martínez Grave de Peralta,Héctor Calzadilla Dubras +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new composite material based on a polymeric matrix reinforced with particles of the bark of the seed of the tucuma tree (Astrocaryum aculeatum), and the comparison of the resistive behavior through the method of the Finite elements of the light covers constructed with this material and those of fiber cement (asbestos-cement) of the wavy type subjected to the action of the wind.
