Background Blended learning describes a combination of teaching methods, often utilizing digital technologies. Research suggests that learner outcomes can be improved through some blended learning formats. However, the cost-effectiveness of delivering blended learning is unclear. Objective This study aimed to determine the cost-effectiveness of a face-to-face learning and blended learning approach for evidence-based medicine training within a medical program. Methods The economic evaluation was conducted as part of a randomized controlled trial (RCT) comparing the evidence-based medicine (EBM) competency of medical students who participated in two different modes of education delivery. In the traditional face-to-face method, students received ten 2-hour classes. In the blended learning approach, students received the same total face-to-face hours but with different activities and additional online and mobile learning. Online activities utilized YouTube and a library guide indexing electronic databases, guides, and books. Mobile learning involved self-directed interactions with patients in their regular clinical placements. The attribution and differentiation of costs between the interventions within the RCT was measured in conjunction with measured outcomes of effectiveness. An incremental cost-effectiveness ratio was calculated comparing the ongoing operation costs of each method with the level of EBM proficiency achieved. Present value analysis was used to calculate the break-even point considering the transition cost and the difference in ongoing operation cost. Results The incremental cost-effectiveness ratio indicated that it costs 24% less to educate a student to the same level of EBM competency via the blended learning approach used in the study, when excluding transition costs. The sunk cost of approximately AUD $40,000 to transition to the blended model exceeds any savings from using the approach within the first year of its implementation; however, a break-even point is achieved within its third iteration and relative savings in the subsequent years. The sensitivity analysis indicates that approaches with higher transition costs, or staffing requirements over that of a traditional method, are likely to result in negative value propositions. Conclusions Under the study conditions, a blended learning approach was more cost-effective to operate and resulted in improved value for the institution after the third year iteration, when compared to the traditional face-to-face model. The wider applicability of the findings are dependent on the type of blended learning utilized, staffing expertise, and educational context.

A cost-effectiveness analyses of online versus face-to-face delivery of evidence-based medicine to medical students

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mendesrikpsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran TGT melalui pembelajaran daring tarhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII materi IPA. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTS Negeri 1 Luwuk, menggunakan metode quasy experiment dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Teknik analisis data menggunakan tes ekperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIA 20 orang dan kelas VIIB 20 orang, dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran TGT melalui pembelajaran daring, sedangkan variabel terikat adalah hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan model pembelajaran TGT melalui pembelajaran daring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran TGT melalui pembelajaran daring berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap hasil belajar diperoleh nilai thitung  = 5,763 > nilai ttabel = 2,101. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran TGT melalui pembelajaran daring berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VII MTS Negeri 1 Luwuk.

The purpose of this study was to identify basic teaching skills of language teachers on microteaching lesson and aspects of the basic teaching skills conducted by language teachers on microteaching lesson. The basic skills of teaching students are asking, explaining, opening and closing, using variations, providing reinforcement, teaching small groups and individuals, managing classes, and guiding small group discussions. This research is a quantitative descriptive research with observation and interview method. The results showed that the aspect of conducting variation and managing the class is still less than the maximum done by students in applying microteaching learning. It is seen in the patterns of interaction, the transfer of sensory use, developing the ability to think, help each other, and improve students' understanding is still less visible. Therefore, an effective model of learning, reflection, and microteaching coaching is required. Keywords—teaching skills; field experience program; microteaching lessons

Basic Teaching Skills of Language Teachers on Microteaching Lessons

This study aims to determine the feasibility and response of students to the e-module momentum and impulse integrated the Pancasila values practice developed. This type of research is Research and Development used the 4-D model. The subjects of this study were 2 expert validators, 2 practitioners, 3 peer reviewers, and 26 eleventh-grade students of MAN (State Islamic Senior High School) 1 Yogyakarta. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. Data collection in this study used a validation sheet and questionnaire. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Expert validation, practitioners, and peer reviewers are used to determine the feasibility of the material and media. The results of the validation analysis show the "Very Good" category with an average score of 3.86. Student responses are used to determine the readability of the e-module. The results of the student response analysis showed the "Good" category, with an average score of 3.21. Therefore, the e-module momentum and impulse integrated the Pancasila values practice are feasible for use to strengthen national character and national identity through physics learning

Development of android-based learning module in metal fabrication techniques for vocational high school 2 Klaten

This study aims to develop a mechanical engineering drawing job sheet and determine the feasibility of the media. This research uses research and development by referring to the Four-D development model (define, design, develop, disseminated). Data collection techniques with observation and interviews. The instrument used was a non-test instrument in the form of a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale of five answer choices. The results showed that the job sheet learning media was carried out with several steps, namely defining needs, designing, developing and distributing. The feasibility of the job sheet media for learning engineering drawings based on the results of the validation of media experts has a score of 4.58 and a material expert score of 4.66 which is included in the very feasible category. The results of teacher user responses with a mean score of 4.21 and 4.5 students in a very feasible category.

The development of mechanical drawing job-sheet for vocational high school instructional

This study aims to find out how 21st Century Life Career Skills Overview in Productive Learning of State Vocational Engineering Machining Program in Yogyakarta City. The object of this research is the 21st Century Life Skills Career in Productive Learning of SMK N 2 and SMK N 3 Machining Engineering Skills Program, while the research subjects are productive teachers and 12th grade students. Researchers use simple random sampling techniques to take samples of students, while techniques sampling is saturated in taking samples on productive teachers. This research was a quantitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques used in this study were packaged in the form of questionnaire guidelines, observation and documentation. Data analysis technique used by researchers is quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques with a range of percentages. The results of this study indicated that 21st Century LCS at the State Vocational School in the engineering engineering program in the city of Yogyakarta in general illustrate the already good application of productive PBM subject teaching theory and practice. The percentage results through the source of student responses obtained by 66.87 percent while the source of teacher responses gained by 61.57 percent, which explains the results of the 21st Century Life Career Skills in the productive learning process of SMK N machining engineering expertise program in the city of Yogyakarta is good (in terms of teachers and students).

21st Century Skills of Life Career Skills in Productive Learning of Vocational High School of Technical Expertise Engineering in Yogyakarta City

The research aims to develop and assess the feasibility of a Job Drawing course in Mechanical Drawing (MD) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education, Yogyakarta State University (DMEE-UNY). This study uses the 4-D Thiagarajan model. The study was conducted at DMEE-UNY. Research subjects were media expert lecturers, content experts, and student responses. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaires. The questionnaire was used to evaluate the validation of expert lecturers and student responses. Data were analysed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that the development of the job sheet was successfully carried out by the MD Semester Learning Plan (SLP) in DMEE, consisting of 43 drawing tasks divided into 13 sections. The level of eligibility of the MD course's job sheet from the validation of content expert lecturers, media experts, and student responses stated that it was very feasible.

Penelitian adalah sebuah cara untuk menemukan jawaban dari pertanyaan-pertanyaan dengan menggunakan prosedur yang sistematis dan ilmiah. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian diperoleh berdasarkan temuan-temuan dan data empiris. Menurut sudut pandang kegunaan, jenis penelitian diklasifikasikan menjadi 2 yaitu penelitian terapan (applied research) dan penelitian dasar (basic research). Dua jenis penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yang berbeda meskipun berada pada dimensi yang sama.
Penelitian terapan bertujuan untuk memecahkan masalah-masalah praktis atau menghasilkan produk baru. Hasil riset atau penelitian terapan langsung dapat digunakan oleh orang yang berkepentingan. 
Ada tiga jenis metode riset terapan yang mencakup metode penelitian tindakan (action research), metode quasi eksperimen dan evaluasi (experiment and evaluation), serta metode penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development). Setiap jenis penelitian memiliki cara pelaksanaan yang spesifik, sehingga perlu dipahami satu persatu.
Untuk dapat melakukan penelitian terapan tersebut , peneliti diharapkan telah menguasai materi tentang variabel penelitian, teknik sampling, metode pengumpulan data dan metode analisis data. Untuk membangkitkan ide masalah penelitian, dalam buku ini ditambahkan materi tema-tema penelitian terapan.
Buku ini membahas secara tuntas tentang metode-metode penelitian terapan yang digunakan di bidang pendidikan, dimana pembahasannya terdiri dari 8 bab, yaitu bab 1 membahas tentang pengetahuan dasar metode penelitian; bab 2 membahas tentang penelitian terapan; bab 3 membahas tentang penelitian tindakan; bab 4 berbicara tentang penelitian eksperimen; bab 5 metode penelitian evaluasi program; bab 6 membahas tentang research and development; bab 7 membahas tentang penelitian kebijakan dan pembahasan diakhiri pada bab 8 yang memberikan contoh tema penelitian terapan.
