A processing chamber having an improved sealing means is disclosed. The processing chamber comprises a lower element, an upper element, and a sealing means that tightly holds the lower element to the upper element to define a processing volume that is maintained using the minimum pressure necessary. The processing chamber comprises a plate having a first face that forms the processing volume and a second, opposing face that forms a seal-energizing cavity. In one embodiment, a surface area of the first face is smaller than a surface area of the second face. When the same pressure is applied against both the first face and the second face, the force on the second face is greater than the force on the first face, resulting in a sealing force exceeding a processing force generated within the processing volume.

Disclosed is a water tank having a power-generating function. The disclosed water tank having a power-generating function comprises: a storage unit, the interior of which has a water storage space, and having an open top and a bottom comprising an outlet portion; and a solar cell module which is mounted on the top of the storage unit, such that an inlet portion is formed to feed water into the storage unit, and which receives solar light and generates electrical energy. Water such as rainwater can be fed into the water tank through the inlet portion formed at the periphery of the solar cell module and stored in the water tank, and water stored in the water tank can be used as needed. The solar cell module is mounted on the top of the water tank, and thus does not occupy space, which prevents the problem of occupying land and reduces general costs related thereto. As described above, the solar cell module, which might otherwise occupy a large amount of space, and a water tank are coupled together, to thereby reduce the costs associated with purchasing land.

This invention relates to integrated electro-hydraulic actuators for use aboard aircraft or elsewhere. A balanced, double-acting hydraulic ram or motor (12) is connected between a support (16) and a member to be moved relative to the support. The ram includes first and second changeable volume hydraulic chambers (30, 32). A reversible hydraulic pump (38) is connected by a pair of conduits (44, 46) to the ram chambers (30, 32). The pump (38) displaces hydraulic fluid from one chamber to another for the purpose of causing a pressure differential between them. A hydraulic accumulator (60) provides leakage makeup fluid to the actuator, and further provides a quiescent pressure to the actuator when it is in a substantially nonoperative condition. A conduit (62) may connect the accumulator (60) to the ram (12). A laminar leakage flow path within the actuator permits hydraulic connection of the accumulator (60) to the ram (12) without use of valves.

PURPOSE:To surely and easily detect the leakage of oil and the like by a construction wherein a variable volume body is provided in a pressure regulating tank and an indicator to detect the volumetric change due to the difference between the pressures of the pressure mediums, which flow into or out of the outside and inside of said variable volume body, is provided. CONSTITUTION:The two pressure regulating tanks 20 and 21 are arranged near a submerged motor pump 1. The one end of respective pressure regulating tanks 20 and 21 is respectively communicated to a primary oil chanber 6 and a secondary oil chamber 10 through communicating pipes 22 and 23 respectively so as to transmit the liquid pressures with the pressure mediums to both the oil chambers 6 and 10 respectively. The pressure regulating tanks 20 and 21 are respectively consist of protective tubes 20a and 21a and the variable volume bodies 20b and 21b made of diaphragm, at the tops of which indicator rods 30 and 31 are protrudingly provided with their tips protruded outside through water influx ports 24 and 25. Due to the construction described above, the leakage of oil or water from or into the oil chambers 6 and 10 can easily be detected.

Even when waves are swollen like at the time of stormy weather, the recovering work for suspended oil 11 can be carried out continuously by a suspended oil recovering device A following the movement of waves by the arrangement. Not only an improver but also an agitating body 15 are mounted on an output shaft 14 of a rotating motor of the underwater pump 13. The suspended oil 11 can be transferred in the shape of mixed oil and water of high fluidity to recover easily and efficiently the suspended oil by the arrangement.

An agitation body 20 is fixed to the projection end. In such a case, a digging preventive plate 23 is arranged immediately below the agitation body 20 for preventing digging of sediment caused by downward agitation flow A generated by rotation of the agitation body 20.
