Abstract: The sedimentary pyrite deposit of Amjhore, Bihar associated with the Bijaigarh Shale of the Upper Vindhyan Group (Proterozoic age) exhibits characteristic syndepositional features suggestive of both calm and disturbed conditions of deposition. The pyrite ores also show typical diagenetic features.
