espanolEste articulo parte del analisis de una obra emblematica en la representacion de la nina en la dramaturgia contemporanea latinoamericana: Fragil, del Teatro de los Andes (Bolivia). El objetivo es desvelar el paradigma sociocultural reflejado en el lenguaje confesional de la protagonista, en relacion con los estudios de identidad femenina. Se realiza un analisis intertextual, examinando los intertextos de la pieza (Paola Masino, Boris Vian), y un analisis semiologico, reconociendo en los dialogos de la protagonista la construccion del genero. En el texto se percibe como la sensibilidad negada, y la simbologia que se atribuye a la transicion entre mujer nina y mujer adulta –relacionada con la locura o histeria– nace como consecuencia de una educacion castradora. Se descubre la materializacion y la abyeccion atribuida a la condicion de mujer (Kristeva, 1967; Butler, 1993), y se erige un discurso marginal: la voz de la nina-adulta que habla del peso de una herencia reprimida. EnglishThis article is based on the analysis of an emblematic work in the representation of the girl in contemporary Latin American dramaturgy: Fragil, from the Teatro de los Andes (Bolivia). The aim is to reveal the socio-cultural paradigm reflected in the confessional language of the protagonist, in relation to the studies of female identity. An intertextual analysis is carried out, examining the intertexts of the piece (Paola Masino, Boris Vian), and a semiological analysis, recognizing in the dialogues of the protagonist the construction of the genre. The text perceives how the denied sensibility, and the symbology attributed to the transition between girl and adult woman – related to madness or hysteria – is born as a consequence of a castrating education. The materialization and abjection attributed to the condition of woman is discovered (Kristeva, 1967; Butler, 1993). A marginal discourse is erected: the voice of the adult-girl who speaks of the weight of a repressed inheritance.

Reflejos de la educación de la niña-adulta en el teatro contemporáneo: Frágil, del Teatro de los Andes (Bolivia)

The article analyzes the book of short stories entitled “Un milagro informal” (2003) (An Informal Miracle), written by the Hispano-Peruvian author Fernando Iwasaki, in the context of
the new trends in Peruvian narrative literature. In a sense, the book’s table of contents allows us to realize that Iwasaki has selected the most representative tales from his genre of short-story telling. Besides, he has anthologized himself and has introduced new tales that provide evidence of a clear evolution in his literary work. Thus, he eliminates any kind of boundaries, not only in those aspects involving subject matters and styles, but also in the different genres. This evolution is clearly represented in the author's forms, the stylistic, even linguistic distance that are present in the tales written in Seville in recent years, when compared with those written in Lima during the eighties. Nonetheless, despite the numerous metamorphoses that Iwasaski’s writings present, there are four main subjects that cover transversally all his short-story telling output, namely, 1) the imaginary element, that bursts abruptly into the world of realism, 2) the eroticism, trimmed with jocular and ludic elements, 3) the parody, presented mainly in the detective genre and 4) the intertextual puns. La ficción como coartada del apátrida: "Un milagro Informal" de Fernando Iwasaki

After arriving in Peru from Hawaii in the 1940s, surfing was for decades associated almost exclusively with the country's white male elite, its practice concentrated around Lima. Peru's extensive coastline, and the presence of the Panamerican Highway, meant that the sport spread fairly rapidly to other population centres, notably the northern city of Trujillo, but the rise to prominence of surfers from traditionally non-hegemonic sectors of society (women and non-whites) is a more recent phenomenon. The rapidly growing space occupied by surfing in Peru has extended to works of literature as some of the country's most distinguished narrators and poets include this sport as a central part of their texts. This study offers the first consideration of the cultural impact of surfing in Peru, through a contextualized analysis of a number of literary texts that have surfing at their core.
