Journal ArticleDOI
Origin of surface resonance states in nearly-free-electron metals: Al(001)
Journal ArticleDOI
Structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of Au/Cr/Au(001) sandwiches: Theoretical total-energy studies.
C. L. Fu,Arthur J Freeman +1 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Transport properties of high-Tc superconductors: Fermi-liquid local-density electronic-structure predictions.
TL;DR: Results indicate a trend towards a regime in which the conventional band-theoretical description comes into better agreement with experiment, and the highly anisotropic nature of the resistivity of the Cu-O planes is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Advanced tetrahedrally-bonded magnetic semiconductors for spintronic applications
Arthur J Freeman,Yu-Jun Zhao +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new class of half-metallic ferromagnetic semiconductors in Mn doped I−III-VI2 chalcopyrites is predicted with the Curie temperature proportional to the hole concentration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hybridization, electronic structure and properties of uranium intermetallics: URu3, URh3, UPd3, UIr3 and UPt3
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of crystal structure on the electronic structure of UPt 3 are examined, showing that the f-d hybridization in the observed hexagonal UPt3 phase is larger than that in the cubic phase.
