Quantum Physics: A Functional Integral Point of View
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a mathematical model for quantization of a nonlinear partial differential equation and the physics of systems with an infinite number of degrees of freedom, which is a generalization of the theory of partial differential equa tions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recent Developments in Gauge Theories
Gerard 't Hooft,C. Itzykson,Arthur Jaffe,H. Lehmann,P. K. Mitter,I. M. Singer,R. Stora,Kevin Cahill +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a survey of recent developments on non-perturbative gauge fields by some of the leading experts and innovators in this field, including the Cargese Institute on "Recent Developments on Gauge Theories".
BookDOI
Recent Developments in Gauge Theories. Proceedings, Nato Advanced Study Institute, Cargese, France, August 26 - September 8, 1979
Journal ArticleDOI
Nonpositivity of the energy density in quantized field theories
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that a positive definite local energy density is incompatible with the usual postulates of local field theory, and the question whether it can be bounded below is briefly discussed but not solved.
