This study aims to produce and develop learning media based on Android applications and Arduino microcontrollers which are named "Sapta Maino Education" The development of learning media based on Sapta Maino Education is done to be able to attract students motivation in learning, especially the material to build flat side spaces In addition to that, learning can adjust technological developments and teachers are expected to be able to spur creativity in making learning media that follows the development of the era This research uses research and development methods with the ADDIE development model The data collection method uses an instrument in the form of a questionnaire Validation involves two material experts and two media experts, then a trial run on students The results of this study are in the form of learning media based on Sapta Maino Education consisting of Android and Arduino LED Cube applications The results of the assessment of media experts got a percentage of 894% Material experts 8621%, And the percentage of respondents or students amounted to 894% All three are included in the "very decent/very good" category The results of the study have the disadvantage that the material is only limited to the material Cubes and Beams Based on the results of the assessment by media experts, material experts and usage tests by respondents, it can be concluded that learning media based on Sapta Maino Education is very feasible to use

Development of teaching material in mathematics "Sapta Maino Education" on topics of plane geometry

Self-confidence is very important for students to actualize their potential and information on the level of student confidence is very helpful for teachers as a basis for decision making, as well as providing feedback to improve the learning process. This study aims to investigate whether there is a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence and student mathematics achievement. This research uses quantitative research methods, namely ex post facto type with a population of VII grade students of SMP Puspita Tangerang which consists of 5 classes total 188 students. Determination of the number of samples looked at the table of Issac and Michael with α = 0.05 and obtained a sample of 123 students. The data analysis of this study used a high confidence level of 95%. Based on the results of the simple linear regression test, it is found that the equation Ŷ = 21,714 + 0,374x means that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence and student mathematics achievement. Then, the simple correlation coefficient test result count.

The relationship between confidence and mathematics learning achievement of junior high school students

Mathematical communication skills are one of the important abilities possessed by students in learning mathematics Based on several results of the literature study showed that students' mathematical communication skills are still relatively low One effort that can be done to improve students' mathematical communication skills is to apply the 7E learning cycle learning model The purpose of this study is to investigate the improvement in mathematical communication skills of students who use the 7E learning cycle learning model is higher than students who use conventional learning This type of research is a quasi-experiment using pre-and posttest design The population in this study were students of class VIII of Junior High School 1 Gantung and the sample of this study was students of grades VIII C and VIII D The sampling technique used was convenience sampling The research instrument used to answer the problem formulation was an instrument of mathematical communication ability test in the form of the problem description The subject in this study is the prism material The formulation of the problem in this study was answered by inferential statistics using the pooled variance model t-test The results showed that an average increase in mathematical communication skills was 0330 for the experimental class and 0241 for the control class so that the conclusion was that the increase in mathematical communication skills of students who used the 7E learning cycle learning model was higher than that of students using conventional learning

The application of learning cycle 7E model to improve a mathematics communication skills of junior high school students

This research is motivated by students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. One way to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities is with the CTL learning approach. The purpose of this research is: 1) to know whether the average ability of mathematical problem solving of students who get learning with CTL approach is higher than the average problem-solving abilities of mathematical students who obtain conventional learning; 2) to find out whether the average mathematical problem-solving ability of the students who acquired the learning with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach is higher than the minimum criterion value (KKM). This research type is quasi-experiment. The research design used is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Renggiang, East Belitung Regency in the academic year 2015/2016. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling. The sample in this research is class VII. 2 as the experimental class and class VII.3 as the control class. The research instrument used is a valid test instrument in the form of a matter of pretest and posttest in the form of a description. Data were analyzed using a non-parametric statistic test. The results of the research have shown that the average problem-solving ability of students who acquire mathematics learning with CTL approach is better than students who follow the conventional mathematics learning, the average problem-solving ability of mathematical students who gain learning with CTL approach less than or equal with KKM. Efektifitas Pembelajaran Dengan Pendekatan Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis

The ability to understand mathematical concepts is a goal that must be achieved first in learning mathematics. Therefore, students are expected to have good mathematical concept understanding skills. However, in reality the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts is still low. One mode of learning that can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts is the guided discovery learning model. This study aims to determine whether the increased ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who use the guided discovery learning model is higher than students who use conventional learning. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study using Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIA Citra Kasih with a sample of class XI MIA 1 and XI MIA 2 with the sample collection technique was cluster random sampling. The test instrument in this study is a test description of the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the form of problem descriptions and non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets. Based on the hypothesis test conducted from normalized change data using the Mann Whitney U test, it was found that the increased ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who use guided discovery learning models is higher than students who use conventional learning.
