PURPOSE:To satisfactorily work the sleeve with excellent diametral dimension and the grade of roundness by providing the motor for changing the diameter of the circumscribed circle of the roller as the tool during plastic working of the inner diameter. CONSTITUTION:When the 2nd motor 7 rotates the sleeve 4 and the working tool 10 is inserted in the inside diameter of the sleeve 4 with the 1st motor, the inside diameter of the sleeve 4 is enlarged and the surface roughness is satisfactorily worked. By inserting and retreating the tapered pin 3 with the 3rd motor 8 and making the diameter of the circumscribed circle variable, the sleeve with the excellent grade of roundness can be worked. Further, the 3rd motor 8 adjusts the insertion/retreat of the tapered pin 3 and makes the diameter of the circumscribed circle of the roller 2 to a certain dimension, and the 1st motor 6 presses the working tool 10 in the inside diameter of the sleeve in this state. By detecting the inserting load of this time with the load sensor 9, the diameter of the circumscribed roller is adjusted based on this detected value. Therefore, the variation in the finished dimension of the inside diameter can be reduced.

CONSTITUTION:The head part 7a of a tool unit body 7 is composed of tapered roller 1, a mandrel 2 having at the tip a taper opposite the taper of roller, and a guide cylinder 3 supporting a plurality of tapered rollers 1. The tip of the mandrel 2 is in contact with the tip of each tapered roller 1 at their circumferential side faces, and the dia. of the circumscribing circle of tapered roller 1 varies depending upon the vertical position of the mandrel 2, and the whole tool unit body 7 reciprocates between the processing position and non-processing position. The mandrel 2 is supported on the tool unit body 7 with possibility of moving vertically, and a driving means 12 to move mandrel 2 vertically is installed independently from a driving means for tool unit body 7. The tool unit body 7 is equipped with a pressure sensing means 13 which senses the load applied to its head part 7a.

By this method, when there is a variance in the diameter of the prepared hole, a variance for the finished hole is contained to a minimum, a high precision sleeve and high performance bearing is obtained.

Method and device for hole piercing work

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method capable of working highly accurately the bore of a sleeve hole without any dispersion. SOLUTION: A plurality of reamers 12A, 12B have different diameters from each other. After the reamer is inserted into a hole 1A of a sleeve 1 for working, a ball or the like 16 is forced through the sleeve hole. A forcing load on the sleeve hole when the ball is forced through the sleeve hole is measured and the diameter of the reamer for the next working is selected according to the size of the measured load. Or the reamer having tapered step parts is inserted into the sleeve hole for working and the inserting amount of the reamer in the next working is controlled according to the size of the measured load so that the bore of the sleeve hole is worked with satisfactory dimensional accuracy and cylindrical degree.
