Microstructure and hardness studies of electron beam welded Inconel 625 and stainless steel 304L
Muhammad Shakil,Muhammad Shakil,M. Ahmad,Naeem ul Haq Tariq,B.A. Hasan,Javed Akhter,Ejaz Ahmed,Mazhar Mehmood,M.A. Choudhry,M. Iqbal +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, electron beam welding of dissimilar Inconel 625 and SS 304L alloys was successfully performed by employing optimized beam welding parameters, the welded joint was characterized using SEM/EDS, XRD and micro-hardness tester.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of W and Zr on structural, thermal and magnetic properties of AlCoCrCuFeNi high entropy alloy
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of alloying addition with milling time was studied using XRD, DSC/TGA, SEM, TEM and Mossbauer spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanical and tribological properties of Zr–Al–Ni–Cu bulk metallic glasses
TL;DR: In this article, the properties of three Zr-based BMGs, i.e., Zr 61 Al 12.2 Ni 5 Cu 21.8, Zr 60.6 Al 13.6 Ni 7.5 Cu 18.3, having electron concentration ratio e / a ǫ = 1.5 and average atomic size Raǫ= 0.1492nm, were studied and a correlation between mechanical and tribological properties was discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evolution of microstructure in Zr55Cu30Al10Ni5 bulk amorphous alloy by high power pulsed Nd:YAG laser
TL;DR: In this article, surface modification of Zr-based bulk amorphous alloy Zr55Cu30Al10Ni5 was carried out with pulsed Nd:YAG laser.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrosion behavior of Zr―Cu―Ni―Al bulk metallic glasses in chloride medium
TL;DR: Polarization and passivation behavior of three Zr-based BMGs, i.e., Zr58Al16Ni11Cu15 and Zr57.5Al17.5Ni13.8Cu11.3 were investigated in 3% NaCl aqueous solution as discussed by the authors.
