Über klinische und experimentelle Beobachtungen bei einem Fall von diffuser Haut-Mastocytose

Some diseases of the skin are characterized by an increased cutaneous content of connective tissue cells e.g. mast cells and eosinophile granulocytes. The pure mast cell tumours (mastocytoma) are examples of such a disease (figs, i and 3) (12). They occur in man as well as in do^, cat, horse and other animals. In man they are extremely scarce—a few cases of tumours of mast cells in connection with elaphantiasis scroti have been described ( i ) and some years ago we saw a case of a inast cell tumour of the bone marrow in man. There are on the other hand pure skin diseases in man e.g. urticaria pigmentosa, which hy most authors are regarded as henign mastocytomas.
