`Nitrogen doped' C60 dimers (N@C60–C60)
TL;DR: In this paper, the formation of C60 dimers with a nitrogen atom in one of the C60 cages is studied, where the dimers are produced by ball milling of a mixture of N@C60 with C60 and a suitable additive.
Journal ArticleDOI
Squeezing of nitrogen atomic orbitals in a chemical trap
TL;DR: Fullerenes can act as inert cages for highly reactive nitrogen atoms even at room temperature and their characteristic deformation can be sensed by magnetic resonance techniques.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Magnetic interaction in diluted N@C60
M. Waiblinger,B. Goedde,Klaus Lips,Wolfgang Harneit,Peter Jakes,Alois Weidinger,Klaus-Peter Dinse +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a line width measurement for N@C60 in C60 with concentrations varying by a factor of 1000 was performed and the first time a concentration in the percent range was reached by repeated HPLC enrichment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chromatographic separation of n@c60/c60 and n@c70/c70 mixtures
TL;DR: In this paper, the chromatographic enrichment process was optimized for the separation of N@C60 and n@C70 from their respective empty parent compounds in order to achieve high quality and quantity of endohedral fullerenes.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Light-induced release of nitrogen from fullerene cages
TL;DR: In this article, the release of atomic nitrogen from fullerene cages under irradiation with ultraviolet laserlight has been studied, and the experiments show that there is a more favorable decay pathway for N@C60 than for n@C70, indicating that the lifetime of the metastable triplet state is not controlling the escape.
