Workload balancing in identical parallel machine scheduling while planning in flexible manufacturing system using genetic algorithm

TL;DR: A genetic algorithm (GA) based heuristic approach is proposed in this paper for minimizing the imbalance of workload among the identical parallel machines in flexible manufacturing systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Fabrication Methods on Mechanical Properties and Machining Parameters of Aluminium Matrix Composites-A Review

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of different reinforcement on AMCs on the machining parameters and mechanical properties like tensile strength, strain, hardness, wear and fatigue is discussed in detail, major issues like agglomerating phenomenon, fiber-matrix bonding and the problems related to distribution of particles are also highlighted in this review.

A Case Study to Setup Optimum Process Parameters in Thermal Deburring for Removing the Burr in Barrel of Fuel Injector Pump Using Taguchi Approach.

TL;DR: In this article, a case study was conducted to find the optimum process parameters for thermal deburring using taguchi approach, where the parameters which affect the performance of deburring are mixture ratio of oxygen and hydrogen gas, pressure of oxygen & hydrogen gas mixture, Impulse of the chamber and size of the burr.

Solving Travelling Salesmen Problem using Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm

TL;DR: Analysis are shown that the ant select the rich pheromone distribution edge for finding out the best path to solve the symmetric travelling salesperson problem.
