TL;DR: In this article, the rate coefficient for electron impact dissociation of molecular oxygen and the efficiency of the dissociation process was determined through exact measurement of the ozone formed in a silent discharge per unit energy.
Abstract: Ozone yield is a good indicator of atomic oxygen formation in gas discharges. Through exact measurement of the ozone formed in a silent discharge per unit energy it is possible to determine the rate coefficient for electron impact dissociation of molecular oxygen and the efficiency of the dissociation process. The agreement of the measurements with calculations is within 30%.

TL;DR: In this article, the production of N2 O was studied in a dielectric barrier discharge with an ozonizer operating at 1 bar in different mixtures of O2 and N2.
Abstract: The production of N2 O was studied in a dielectric barrier discharge. The measurements were made with an ozonizer operating at 1 bar in different mixtures of O2 and N2. N2 O is almost exclusively produced via the N2 (A) + O2 reaction. A best fit between theory and measurements is achieved if we assume that 4 % of the total reaction rate leads to N2 O formation.

TL;DR: In this article, a process for purifying NOx-containing exhaust gases from combustion systems and internal combustion engines is described, in which the NOx molecules contained in the exhaust gas are reacted with atomic hydrogen, forming nitrogen and water.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for purifying NOx-containing exhaust gases from combustion systems and internal combustion engines. The NOx molecules contained in the exhaust gas are reacted with atomic hydrogen, forming nitrogen and water. The atomic hydrogen is formed by electrolysis from the water vapour contained in the exhaust gas. To carry out the process, an apparatus (1) is provided which has a solid electrolyte (2) of a zirconium oxide. The solid electrolyte (2) is cylindrically shaped and has a respective electrode (3, 4) on its interior and exterior, of which at least the electrode (3) coming into contact with the exhaust gas to be purified has catalytic properties. The two electrodes (3, 4) are connected to a direct current source (5), with the aid of a which a voltage greater than 1.3 V is developed between the two electrodes.
