Pneumatic gun which contains a plurality of chambers in communication with each other including a chamber (1) containing and distributing pressurized gas, a chamber (2) containing a compressed gas storage chamber (11) and mechanisms for filling the storage chamber with gas and releasing gas from the storage chamber to fire the projectile, and a chamber (3) containing mechanisms for loading and launching the projectile. The electrical control unit preferably includes an electrical power source which activates an electrical timing circuit when the electrical switch is closed, and two electrically operated pneumatic flow distribution devices (35, 36) which are sequentially energized by the electrical timing circuit to enable the loading of a projectile for launching and to release compressed gas from the storage chamber (11) to fire the projectile, respectively.

Pneumatically operated projectile launching device

A pneumatic assembly for a paintball gun is provided. The pneumatic assembly includes a valve stem, and a bolt slidably mounted on the valve stem. The bolt includes at least one bolt port arranged through a sidewall of the bolt. A sealing member is provided on the valve stem in communication with an inner surface of the bolt. The bolt slides from a rearward position to a forward position along the valve stem. Compressed gas flows through the bolt port and through the bolt aperture to fire a projectile when the bolt is in the forward position. A paintball gun incorporating the pneumatic assembly is also provided.

Compressed gas-powered projectile accelerator

A ball-throwing apparatus for throwing balls utilizing pressurized air and a fast-action valve. The barrel and breech are enclosed by a rotating cage containing a supply of the balls wherein a single ball is selected from the tumbling supply of balls by an L-shape leg member attached to the cage and leading to an opening in the barrel. The device includes randomly varied ball trajectory structure which is in the form of an adjustable bleeder valve venting air, to the atmosphere at different rates to vary the pressure which is discharging the ball and, or, movable fingers which randomly project into the path of a discharged ball to carom the ball into a different path. The varied trajectory structure can be manually controlled or prearranged by timer-driven cam discs.

A system and method for launching projectiles, such as fireworks projectiles, which explode in the air into a pyrotechnic display. The projectile includes a shell constructed from a binding agent and an explosive additive which explodes the shell into small particles. The explosive additive, which may be nitrocellulose, causes the exploded particles to be rapidly burned and consumed to form lightweight, inert flakes that fall harmlessly to the ground. The projectile is aimed and launched by a launcher using a compressed gas to rapidly expel the projectile from a launching tube. Once in the air at a predetermined location in the sky, an electronic fuse inside the projectile operates to detonate the projectile into its intended pyrotechnic display. The fuse is extremely accurate and enables detonation of the projectile at precise altitudes. An electronic control system controls launching and detonation of the projectiles in a precise and repeatable manner.
