The Contributions of Applied Behavior Analysis to the Education of People With Autism
Beth J. Rosenwasser,Saul Axelrod +1 more
TL;DR: Among the numerous treatments available for helping to educate people with autism, applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the best empirically evaluated, as many articles in this dual-volume special issue document show.
Journal ArticleDOI
Factors contributing to dropping out from and returning to HIV treatment in an inner city primary care HIV clinic in the United States
Anna Pecoraro,Charlotte Royer-Malvestuto,Beth J. Rosenwasser,Kevin Moore,Allen Howell,Michelle Ma,George E. Woody +6 more
TL;DR: Clinicians should assess substance use, depression, and suicidal ideation at each primary care visit and encourage patients to obtain substance abuse treatment and mental health care, all of which may boost retention.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interdependent group contingency management for cocaine‐dependent methadone maintenance patients
Kimberly C. Kirby,MaryLouise E. Kerwin,Carolyn M. Carpenedo,Beth J. Rosenwasser,Robert S. Gardner +4 more
TL;DR: A group CM intervention in which the behavior of a single, randomly selected, anonymous individual determined reinforcement delivery for the entire group proved feasible and safe and improved group CM meeting attendance relative to the CA condition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Randomized clinical trial examining duration of voucher-based reinforcement therapy for cocaine abstinence.
Kimberly C. Kirby,Carolyn M. Carpenedo,Karen L. Dugosh,Beth J. Rosenwasser,Lois A. Benishek,Alicia Janik,Rachel Keashen,Elena Bresani,Kenneth Silverman +8 more
TL;DR: If abstinence can be captured and sustained during VBRT, then providing longer durations may help increase the continuous abstinence that predicts better long-term outcomes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Extended voucher-based reinforcement therapy for long-term drug abstinence.
Carolyn M. Carpenedo,Kimberly C. Kirby,Karen L. Dugosh,Beth J. Rosenwasser,Donald L Thompson +4 more
TL;DR: Longer-duration V BRT can increase abstinence during VBRT, but may not maintain it afterwards, however, longer during-treatment abstinence begets later abstinence suggesting that further research is needed.
