Investigations on the influence of graphite filler on dry sliding wear and abrasive wear behaviour of carbon fabric reinforced epoxy composites
TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of graphite filled carbon fabric reinforced epoxy composites was investigated using a pin-on-disc wear tester under dry contact condition, and the results showed that in dry sliding wear situations, for increased load and sliding velocity, higher wear loss was recorded.
Journal ArticleDOI
Three-body abrasive wear behaviour of carbon and glass fiber reinforced epoxy composites
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of abrading distance, viz., 270, 540, 810 and 1080m and different loads of 22 and 32 n at 200 n, was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Friction and Wear Characteristics of Carbon-epoxy and Glass-epoxy Woven Roving Fiber Composites:
TL;DR: In this paper, carbon-epoxy (C-E) composite is compared with that of G-E composites for tribological properties using a pin-on-disc set up.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanical and tribological properties of glass–epoxy composites with and without graphite particulate filler
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of filler content and sliding distance on the friction and wear behavior of graphite-filled glass-fiber-reinforced epoxy (G-E) composite systems were studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Role of Fillers on Friction and Slide Wear Characteristics in Glass-Epoxy Composite Systems
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of two inorganic fillers, silicon carbide particles (SiC) and graphite, on the wear of the glass fabric reinforced epoxy composites under dry sliding conditions has been examined.
