Communication quality is prevented from being deteriorated due to interference caused by low accuracy of channel information or interference from another base station or another wireless communication system. A wireless communication system includes a first wireless station including a plurality of antenna elements, transmission units corresponding to the plurality of antenna elements, and a transmission directivity control unit that controls transmission directivity of the plurality of antenna elements, and a plurality of second wireless stations each including a reception power measurement unit that measures a reception power. The transmission directivity control unit determines the transmission directivity of each of the plurality of antenna elements so that a signal does not reach a particular second wireless station among the plurality of second wireless stations. The transmission units generate wireless signals using the transmission directivity. The plurality of antenna elements transmit the generated wireless signals. The reception power measurement unit measures the reception power in a period that is set so that a signal does not reach the particular second wireless station, and detect the presence or absence of interference.

A wireless communication device according to one embodiment includes a receiver, processing circuitry and a transmitter. The receiver receives a first signal obtained by a first sensor. The processing circuitry compares first sensing information included in the first signal with second sensing information obtained by a second sensor so as to determine whether or not the first sensing information and the second sensing information are obtained from a same target object. Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for enabling a spatial reuse opportunity at a high efficiency (HE) station and a network allocation vector (NAV) reset capability at a legacy station using a Request to Send and/or Clear to Send (RTS and/or CTS) frame. For example, the method can include receiving a RTS frame with a redefined field that specifies spatial reuse information. The NAV can be set based on the RTS frame. The method can determine whether a second frame was received within a threshold time after a Short Interframe Space (SIFS). Finally, the method can reset the NAV based on whether the second frame was received within the threshold time.

Spatial-reuse enhancement in RTS and CTS

A method of sub-channel independent network allocation vector (NAV) management by a wireless station (STA) in a wideband wireless communications system (100,200,300,400) is proposed. In the wideband system having multiple sub-bands, each NAV for a corresponding sub-band is independently managed. The protection duration for each NAV is independent for each sub-band and the threshold or update rule for NAV modification is also independent for each sub-band. The threshold or update rule for NAV modification may also be different when the NAV is generated or propagated by an OBSS STA. Furthermore, early termination of NAV is allowed if the NAV is set by an OBSS STA only.

Network Allocation Vector Improvement for Wireless Networks

The present invention provides a data transmission method. In the method of the present invention, a station receives an indication frame sent by an access point, where the indication frame is used for allocating a designated random contention channel; a channel state of the designated random contention channel is sensed according to the indication frame; and the station sends data on the designated random contention channel after it is detected that the designated random contention channel is in an idle state. Because in the method of the present invention, a designated random contention channel is allocated to a station, the station can send data on the designated random contention channel, contention among stations is reduced and a time for a station to be connected to a random contention channel is reduced.
