Review on the self-healing of asphalt materials: Mechanism, affecting factors, assessments and improvements

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the relationship between self-healing ability and fatigue life of asphalt materials from the molecular level and found that the selfhealing performance can be adjusted by optimizing the chemical composition of the asphalt materials, changing the preparation method and ensuring the spontaneous structure formation to achieve the intellectualization of the intrinsic material.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diketopyrrolopyrrole Amphiphile-Based Micelle-Like Fluorescent Nanoparticles for Selective and Sensitive Detection of Mercury(II) Ions in Water

TL;DR: This study reports, for the first time, that TDPP dyes can respond reversibly, sensitively, and selectively to Hg2+ through T DPP-Hg-TDPP complexation, similar to the well-known thymine(T)-Hg(T) model and the accompanying molecular aggregation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterizing asphalt aging behaviors and rheological properties based on spectrophotometry

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a more comprehensive and straightforward method to distinguish asphalt aging degree, a potential new technique namely Spectrophotometry was introduced in order to develop a more straightforward method for quantitatively characterize the aging degree of asphalt.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of storage stability of styrene–butadiene–styrene block copolymer-modified asphalt via electrochemical analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, an electrochemical technique was developed to evaluate the segregation behavior of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) modified asphalt during hot storage and transportation.
