Bayesian Model-Averaged Meta-Analysis in Medicine
František Bartoš,Quentin Frederik Gronau,Bram Timmers,Willem M. Otte,Alexander Ly,Alexander Ly,Eric-Jan Wagenmakers +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a Bayesian model-averaged meta-analysis for standardized mean variance differences was proposed to quantify evidence for both treatment effectiveness and across-study heterogeneity, and four competing models were constructed by orthogonally combining two present-absent assumptions, one for the treatment effect and one for acrossstudy heterogeneity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Network Models to Organize a Dispersed Literature: The Case of Misunderstanding Analysis of Covariance

TL;DR: A network method to synthesize a literature overview from search results obtained by multiple team members is outlined and a top ten list of the most relevant articles is yielded that students and researchers can take as a point of departure for a more detailed study on this topic.

Empirical prior distributions for Bayesian meta-analyses of binary and time to event outcomes
Frantivsek Bartovs,Willem M. Otte,Quentin Frederik Gronau,Bram Timmers,Alexander Ly,Eric-Jan Wagenmakers +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews to develop discipline-wide empirical prior distributions for meta-analyses of binary and time-to-event clinical trial outcomes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bayesian model-averaged meta-analysis in medicine.
František Bartoš,Quentin Frederik Gronau,Bram Timmers,Willem M. Otte,Alexander Ly,Alexander Ly,Eric-Jan Wagenmakers +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a Bayesian model-averaged (BMA) meta-analysis for standardized mean differences in order to quantify evidence for both treatment effectiveness and across-study heterogeneity is presented.
