Techniques for an electronic montage system are described. An apparatus may comprise a logic device arranged to execute a montage application comprising a presentation component. The presentation component may be operative to detect when a display size or resolution has changed from one used for an original layout of a montage. The presentation component may reposition, or reflow, the tiles in the montage in the changed display in a way that preserves the spatial characteristics of the tiles to each other. An authoring component may reflow tiles automatically when a tile is deleted from a montage to minimize blank space between tiles. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Techniques for dynamic layout of presentation tiles on a grid

A method and apparatus for enabling virtual tags is described. The method may include receiving a first digital image data and virtual tag data to be associated with a real-world object in the first digital image data, wherein the first digital image data is captured by a first mobile device, and the virtual tag data includes metadata received from a user of the first mobile device. The method may also include generating a first digital signature from the first digital image data that describes the real-world object, and in response to the generation, inserting in substantially real-time the first digital signature into a searchable index of digital images. The method may also include storing, in a tag database, the virtual tag data and an association between the virtual tag data and the first digital signature inserted into the index of digital images.

Methods and system for rendering context aware multimedia content include identifying a plurality of multimedia content that is uploaded for rendering. The uploaded multimedia content is examined to determine metadata associated with each of the plurality of multimedia contents. Contextual information associated with the metadata is identified and a grouping of the multimedia content into a plurality of groups is performed based on the contextual information. Each of the plurality of groups is then integrated into one or more photo stories. The photo stories are defined and rendered as content rich documents.

An image editing apparatus allowing easy edition of page arrangement order on the preview display of page images includes a display device having a display screen and a preview display device configured to display image data in a scrollable manner. If any page is selected from the images of preview display, the selected page is displayed as a reduced image at a position different from the preview images. By drag-and-dropping the reduced image to an arrangement of preview images, the selected page moves to the drag-and-dropped position in the image data.

Systems and methods for generating and physically rendering graphical memorabilia projects are described herein. Generally, the methods comprise providing and organizing photos, selecting a theme-based kit, selecting a dynamic page layout template, selecting a design and color palette, personalizing a memorabilia project comprising the template, and physically rendering the memorabilia project. The page layout template is pre-designed template and configured to be selectively rotated and/or swapped to provide a refreshing theme and/or look, and can be used to more effectively utilize the memorabilia available for mounting and/or storage. The ability to rotate and/or swap the templates enables a user to reuse pre-established templates to create new looks and presentations. In one aspect, the described system is a web-based service that does not require any software to be installed on the user's computer device other than a web browser.

Systems and methods for dynamically generating graphical memorabilia projects for presentation and use

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for the production of accented presentations using pre-defined templates and material, which presentations may be in a printed or scrap-booked format. A server system may be made available to clients over a network, that server providing templates, patterns and associated material, the server providing a client with executable instructions enabling a user to make selections to a final accented presentation. The server system may receive an order including an identification of a template and user selections, and may include an interpretive and production system that fabricates a final accented presentation, or a part of fabrication and/or assembly thereof.
