Behavioral and physiological assessment of low concentrations of clove oil anaesthetic for handling and transporting largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides)
TL;DR: This study used largemouth bass as a model species to examine the behavioral and physiological responses of fish to a gradation of clove oil concentrations while exposed to truck transport and found that fish sedated by 5 to 9 mg l 1 cloveOil achieved that level of anaesthetization rapidly and recovered behaviorally more quickly than at higher concentrations.

The effects of heat shock and acclimation temperature on hsp70 and hsp30 mRNA expression in rainbow trout : in vivo and in vitro comparisons
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that blood from fish acclimated to 17° C water had a lower hsp70 mRNA heat shock induction temperature than did 5° C acclimate fish, and the hsp30 mRNA induction temperature, however, was unaffected by thermal acclimation.

The influence of environmental temperature and oxygen concentration on the recovery of largemouth bass from exercise: implications for live–release angling tournaments
TL;DR: Several recommendations are made concerning remedial treatments used in livewells (tanks) during angling tournaments when fish are recovering from exercise associated with angling, and in the context of critical oxygen and temperature guidelines for largemouth bass.
