Sulfide crystals in coal

TL;DR: In this paper, electron microscopy was applied to the determination of the crystal structure and the chemical composition of mineral compounds in an Illinois coal, chiefly the sulfides, and the results demonstrated the power of applying to these minerals the full range of techniques of scanning transmission microscopy, including bright and dark field imaging, diffraction and quantitative X-ray emission spectroscopy.
