Critical concentration in percolating systems containing a high-aspect-ratio filler
TL;DR: The percolation threshold for composites made by dispersing anisometric, single-crystal graphite flakes in either an epoxy resin or a polyurethane polymer matrix is examined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Composites based on micron-sized exfoliated graphite particles: Electrical conduction, critical exponents and anisotropy
TL;DR: In this article, the conductivity of graphite platelets with diameter-to-thickness ratios of the order of 100 was characterized by X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy: orientation of filler and porosity of the polymer matrix were observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anisotropic percolation in an epoxy - graphite disc composite
TL;DR: In this paper, a graphite platelet composite with diameter to thickness ratios of the order of 100 was made and deposited in the form of partially oriented films, and room temperature electrical conductivity measurements both parallel and perpendicular to the plane of deposition reveal a low threshold of φ ∗ = 0.8 ± 0.1 vol. %.
