The Soft supersymmetry breaking Lagrangian: Theory and applications

The Fortran code NMHDECAY computes the masses, couplings and decay widths of all Higgs bosons of the NMSSM in terms of its parameters at the electroweak (or Susy breaking) scale: the Yukawa couplings λ and κ, the soft trilinear terms Aλ and Aκ, and tan β and μeff = λ . The computation of the spectrum includes leading two loop terms, electroweak corrections and propagator corrections. The computation of the decay widths is carried out as in HDECAY, but (for the moment) without three body decays. Each point in parameter space is checked against negative Higgs bosons searches at LEP, including unconventional channels relevant for the NMSSM. One version of the program uses generalized SLHA conventions for input and output.

The naturalness of a Higgs boson with a mass near 125 GeV is explored in a variety of weak-scale supersymmetric models. A Higgs mass of this size strongly points towards a non-minimal implementation of supersymmetry. The Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model now requires large A-terms to avoid multi-TeV stops. The ne-tuning is at least 1% for low messenger scales, and an order of magnitude worse for high messenger scales. Naturalness is signicantly improved in theories with a singlet supereld

Does LEP prefer the NMSSM

We study the naturalness of electroweak symmetry breaking and baryogenesis in the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM). Our study is motivated by the recent LEP bounds on the Higgs boson mass which severely constrains the low \tan\beta region of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). We show that the low \tan \beta region of the NMSSM is clearly favoured over the MSSM with regard to the physical Higgs boson mass, fine-tuning, and electroweak baryogenesis.
