Journal ArticleDOI

Infra-red spectra (3000-200 cm−1) of metal-isothiocyanate complexes

TL;DR: In this paper, a correlation between the frequencies of the NCS bending vibration and the stereochemistry of the compounds is presented, in particular, a clear distinction between tetrahedral and octahedral compounds is possible.
Journal ArticleDOI

The far infra-red spectra of 2,2′-dipyridyl and 1,10-phenan-throline complexes of alkyl tin halides

TL;DR: In this paper, the infra-red spectra (650-200 cm −1 ) of eighteen six-coordinate complexes of the alkyl tin halides with 2,2′-dipyridyl and 1,10-phenanthroline have been recorded as nujol mulls, and where possible also in solution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Low frequency infra-red spectra of 2:2'-bipyridyl complexes of bivalent and trivalent transition metals

TL;DR: In this paper, the infra-red spectra of metal-bipyridyl cations of the type M bipy32+ (M  Mn, Fe, Co, Ni), and m bipy33+ (m ǫ, Fe, Co, Co) were investigated in the 600-60 cm−1 region, and the assignment of ligand and metal stretching vibrations was discussed.
