The Potential Role of Genetics, Environmental Factors, and Gut Dysbiosis in the Aberrant Non-Coding RNA Expression to Mediate Inflammation and Osteoclastogenic/Osteogenic Differentiation in Ankylosing Spondylitis

TL;DR: These contributory factors that are involved in AS pathogenesis, especially the aberrant ncRNA expression and its effects on the proinflammatory cytokine productions (TNF-α, IL-17 and IL-23), T cell skewing to Th1/Th17, and osteoclastogenic/osteogenic differentiation are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Risk factors for mortality in systemic lupus erythematosus patients: Analysis of adult and pediatric cohorts in Taiwan

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors explored the long-term survival rate and its predictors in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in a hospital-based cohort study.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dual-specificity phosphatases 22-deficient T cells contribute to the pathogenesis of ankylosing spondylitis

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the role of dual-specificity phosphatases (DUSPs) in ankylosing spondylitis (AS) and found that DUSPs played a crucial role in the pathogenesis and regulation of disease activity of AS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Association of blood pressure and hypertension with radiographic damage among the patients with ankyloing spondylitis

TL;DR: Age, BASMI, BASRI-Total, m-SASSS, waist circumference, BMI and waist-to-height ratio were useful in predicting hypertension, and m- SASSS is the most useful disease severity parameter in predicting the presence of hypertension.
