TL;DR: A new selective beta-adrenergic blocking agent--metoprolol--is compared to a non-selective beta- adrenergicblocking agent--propranolol--according to a double-blind cross-over technique in 23 hypertensive women, who had previously taken alprenolol and propranolols during different periods.

Iron balance in menstruating women

TL;DR: There was a rather sudden decrease in haemoglobin concentration and in stainable iron in bone marrow smears, indicating the critical level of iron requirements in these women that could be balanced by an increased iron absorption from the present diet.
