Journal ArticleDOI

The ultrastructure of the canine testicular interstitial tissue.

TL;DR: The seminiferous tubules of the dog testis are surrounded by a boundary tissue composed of a basal lamina and a layer of peritubular cells that is from one to six cells thick.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effect of luteinizing hormone on the ultrastructure of the leydig cell of the chick

TL;DR: Leydig cells from testes of two-day-old chicks show a decrease in the size of the lipid droplets, an increase in rough endoplasmic reticulum, the appearance of bizarre mitochondrial shapes and the striking development of polysomes after stimulation with luteinizing hormone in a dosage known to stimulate testosterone synthesis.
