The Cobalt-Salt-Catalyzed Autoxidation of Benzaldehyde
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the autoxidation of benzaldehyde in glacial acetic acid catalyzed by cobalt salts and determined the relative contributions of these reactions to the decay of the peracid concentration.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Metal-Salt-Catalyzed Oxidation of Acetaldehyde
TL;DR: In this article, the oxidation of acetaldehyde in glacial acetic acid catalyzed by manganese, copper and cobalt acetate has been studied at room temperature, and it has been shown that the reaction proceeds in two well-defined stages: (a) the oxidization of the aldehyde to peracetic acid; (b) the reaction of perACetic acid with acetaldehyde to give a second peroxide, X. The metal-salt-catalyzed decomposition of both peroxides has been determined.

Recent Developments in High Polymers
TL;DR: The ability of polymers to crystallize depends, among other things, upon the regularity of the structure and the chemical nature of the chains as mentioned in this paper, and any factor that decreases this regularity reduces the ability to crystallise.
