Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical synthesis of ammonia at atmospheric pressure and low temperature in a solid polymer electrolyte cell

TL;DR: In this paper, a Solid Polymer Electrolyte Cell (SPE) was used to synthesize ammonia from nitrogen and water at Ru cathodes, at atmospheric pressure and low temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical reduction of dichloromethane to higher hydrocarbons

TL;DR: In this article, the half-wave potential of CH2Cl2 at Ni, Cu, Pt and Ag electrodes in acetonitrile and (C4H9)4NI 0.1m as supporting electrolyte was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical reduction of dichlorodifluoromethane in acetonitrile medium to useful fluorinated compounds

TL;DR: In this article, the electrochemical reduction of dichlorodifluoromethane (CFC-12) at Ag, Cu, Au, Pt and Ni electrodes in acetonitrile and 0.1 M (C 4 H 9 ) 4 NBr as supporting electrolyte has been studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical reduction of CCl2F2 on Nafion solid polymer electrolyte composite electrodes

TL;DR: In this paper, the electrochemical reduction of CCl2F2 (CFC-12) was carried out at Pd, Au, Cu, and Ag cathodes, which were chemically deposited on Nafion 117 (H+ form) membrane; the main electrolysis product at 10 V vs Ag/AgCl at Au, Pd and Cu was CH4, with current efficiencies (CE) of 14, 15 and 47% respectively, while at Ag cathode, in addition to CH4 was also detected, which might be used as a new technology refrigerant
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical reduction of dichlorodifluoromethane at a Nafion® solid polymer electrolyte cell

TL;DR: In this paper, the reduction of dichlorodifluoromethane (CFC-12) at Ag, Pd, Cu and Au electrodes, which were deposited on Nafion® 117 (H+ form) membranes, by reduction with NaBH4 (10% w/v) solution, was studied.
