Journal ArticleDOI

Slow Decreasing Tendency of Fine Particles Compared to Coarse Particles Associated with Recent Hot Summers in Seoul, Korea

TL;DR: In this article, the authors found that PM with a diameter smaller than 2.5 μm has a slower decreasing tendency than PM in the 2-5-10-μm range during summer and that this discrepancy is attributable to the large increase in the summer surface air temperature for the analysis period.
Journal ArticleDOI

Possible Cause of Seasonal Inhomogeneity in Interdecadal Changes of Tropical Cyclone Genesis Frequency over the Western North Pacific

TL;DR: In this paper, the seasonal inhomogeneity of interdecadal changes in TCGF between OND and other seasons (from January to September) and the associated mechanisms are not clearly documented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adaptive change in intra-winter distribution of relatively cold events to east asian warming

TL;DR: In this paper, the change in the occurrence of relatively cold events (daily temperature anomaly, ≤ 2σ for that season) in each winter monsoon over East Asia was examined using ground observations of daily temperature for the period 1954-2006.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regulatory measures significantly reduced air-pollutant concentrations in Seoul, Korea

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the change in the diurnal variations of air pollutant concentrations that may be closely related to the regulatory action in reducing local vehicle emissions in the Seoul metropolitan region by conforming to the European emissions standards.
