Abstract: This manual, a supplement to Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Adolescent Cannabis Users: 5 Sessions, Cannabis Youth Treatment (CYT) Series, volume 1, presents a seven-session cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT7) approach designed especially for adolescent cannabis users. It addresses the implementation and evaluation of cognitive behavioral treatment for adolescent marijuana users as part of the Cannabis Youth Treatment Project: A cooperative agreement for evaluating the efficacy of five treatments for adolescents with self-reported marijuana use and problems associated with Its use. This volume provides instructions for sessions 6 through 12 of the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for adolescent marijuana users. Treating juvenile offenders for marijuana problems

TL;DR: Investigating the characteristics and substance abuse treatment experience of two differentially defined groups of juvenile offenders found juvenile offender status, whether defined by criminal justice system involvement or criminal behavior, does not seem to mitigate the potential to benefit from manual-guided outpatient treatments.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of five short-term outpatient interventions for adolescents with cannabis use disorders, including Motivational Enhancement Therapy plus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MET/CBT) with a 12-session regimen of MET and CBT and another that included family education and therapy components.

The economic cost of outpatient marijuana treatment for adolescents: findings from a multi-site field experiment : Cannabis Youth Treatment (CYT) Experiment

TL;DR: The present study conducted an economic cost analysis of several outpatient adolescent treatment approaches for cannabis-using adolescents, finding that the average economic costs of the five types of outpatient treatments ranged from $837 to $3334 per episode.
