Journal ArticleDOI

The determination of diketo l-gulonic acid, dehydro-l-ascorbic acid, and l-ascorbic acid in the same tissue extract by the 2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazine method.

TL;DR: Methods for determinations of vitamin C dehydro-Z-ascorbic (DHA), DHA, and DKA in the presence of each other are reported, indicating that these derivatives are identical substances.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metabolism of l-ascorbic acid, dehydro-l'ascorbic acid, and diketo-l-gulonic acid in the guinea pig.

TL;DR: With the development in this laboratory of a method for the differential determination of AsA, DHA, and DKA in the same tissue filtrate, it became possible to study more precisely the metabolism of each of these three compounds when injected into the guinea pig.
