TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of temporal characteristics on stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) threshold for nanosecond laser in an optical fiber is studied in detail, and it is found that SBS threshold is highly related to temporal characteristics such as pulse width, pulse period and pulse shape.
