Implementation of an Intelligent Indoor Environmental Monitoring and management system in cloud

Medical systems allow patients to receive care at different hospitals. However, this entails considerable inconvenience through the need to transport patients and their medical records between hospitals. The development of Telecare Medicine Information Systems (TMIS) makes it easier for patients to seek medical treatment and to store and access medical records. However, medical data stored in TMIS is not encrypted, leaving patients' private data vulnerable to external leaks. In 2014, scholars proposed a new cloud-based medical information model and authentication scheme which would not only allow patients to remotely access medical services but also protects patient privacy. However, this scheme still fails to provide patient anonymity and message authentication. Furthermore, this scheme only stores patient medical data, without allowing patients to directly access medical advice. Therefore, we propose a new authentication scheme, which provides anonymity, unlinkability, and message authentication, and allows patients to directly and remotely consult with doctors. In addition, our proposed scheme is more efficient in terms of computation cost. The proposed system was implemented in Android system to demonstrate its workability.

Improvement of a Privacy Authentication Scheme Based on Cloud for Medical Environment

Indoor air quality monitoring in healthcare environment has become a critical part of hospital management and policy. Manual air sampling and analysis are cost-inhibitive and do not provide real-time air quality data and response measures. In this month-long study over 14 sampling locations in a public hospital in Taiwan, we observed a positive correlation between CO2 concentration and population, total bacteria, and particulate matter concentrations, thus monitoring CO2 concentration as a general indicator for air quality could be a viable option. Consequently, an intelligent environmental monitoring system consisting of a CO2/temperature/humidity sensor, a digital plug, and a ZigBee Router and Coordinator was developed and tested. The system also included a backend server that received and analyzed data, as well as activating ventilation and air purifiers when CO2 concentration exceeded a pre-set value. Alert messages can also be delivered to offsite users through mobile devices.

Construction and Application of an Intelligent Air Quality Monitoring System for Healthcare Environment

Along with the improvement of sanitary conditions and changes of life style, people begin to pay attention to the modern concept of health promotion and preventive medicine. Therefore, we built an intelligent environment monitoring feedback system to collect data of physical conditions of employees and air conditions of the working environment, displayed the collected data with a real time interface, and sent out warming messages to prevent accidents. We hope that based on these real-time data, the proposed system can help people make right and timely decisions, and act on time to maintain a beneficial environment in the monitored area.
