Quantitative assessment of bonding between steel plate and reinforced concrete structure using dispersive characteristics of lamb waves
TL;DR: In this article, the debonding range between steel plate and substrates for concrete-filled steel tubular member (CFST member) or reinforced concrete (RC) structure strengthened by steel plate with epoxy as the bonding agent was quantitatively and quickly assessed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Time frequency analyses of vibrations of wind turbine towers
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used reassigned spectrogram, a time-frequency representation based on time-corrected short time Fourier transform, to find the favorable combinations of window size and overlapping portions of adjacent windows for a data sequence at a given sampling rate.
Dissertation
Effect of beam diffraction on nonlinear Rayleigh surface wave measurement
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of beam diffraction from a source of finite width on nonlinear Rayleigh wave propagation in an elastic half space were investigated, where a relatively small wedge transducer was employed to launch Rayleigh surface waves in the specimen and the first and second harmonic amplitudes were measured in the far field as a function of propagation distance.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Dynamic survey of wind turbine vibrations
TL;DR: In this paper, the vibration of rotor blades and supporting towers of two wind turbine systems have been measured remotely using IBIS, a microwave interferometer, but the frequency of the rotor blade can be analyzed only if the microwave measurements are taken as the wind turbine is parked and secured.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Rail neutral temperature estimation using impulse vibration and machine learning
TL;DR: The system performance with field data indicates that the proposed framework can support reasonable RNT prediction accuracy when measurement/model noise is low, and this work proposes a practical and effective method for RNT estimation.
