This paper is the study on the safe design of joint controling the pressure and temperature by connecting between pipes laying with the flexible joint. This study aims at decreasing the excessive pressure applied in the pipe and preventing the accident occurrence in order to solve the pipe damage by extraction and contraction due to the pressure of open air and transport gas. The flow properties of each model are investigated through the simulation analysis by applying three kinds of the flexible joints. When transport gas passes the flexible joint, the flow characteristics of heat, pressure and velocity at pipe laying are analyzed. It is thought to be contributed to the safe design due to the shape of the flexible joint by using the result of this study. And it is possible to be grafted onto the convergence technique at design and show the esthetic sense.

Study on Convergence Technique through Flow Analysis at the Flexible Joint of the Pipe Laying

In this study, the multi-disk of a high-pressure drop control valve is designed and manufactured. Then, the flow rate and high-pressure drop of fluids flowing in the high-pressure drop control valve is CAE/CFD. This study involves numerical analysis for the Zambil offshore project of a high-pressure drop control valve. ANSYS used a solver for offshore structures analysis. A high-pressure drop control valve, which transforms the power transfer of a system by reducing the inlet pressure of 345bar to the outlet pressure of 112bar, is a fundamental component in the offshore process. This study not only analyzes the relation between pressure drop and fluid velocity in a trim by using fluid analysis, but also examines the possibility of cavitation in a valve in addition to the plot for the extension of lifespan. It is demonstrated that the pressure drop from 345bar to 112bar is more feasible in the presence of the trim, which can induce a continuous and diminutive pressure drop in order to prevent cavitation in a high-pressure drop control valve. Dust collecting performance of cyclone collector for oil mist was alalyzed in the study. The purposes of using cutting fluid during cutting have been colling, lubricating, chip washing and anti-corroding. However, the present manufactaring industry restricts the use of cutting fluid because cutting fluid confains poisonous substances which are harmful to the human body. Also, the optimum design oil-mist collector. The new oil mist collector was designed. In the near future, this device must be tested in the real machining center and CNC machine. Cutting using oil-mist showed better cutting characteristics than dry, air and fluid cutting with respect to by cutting force, tool wear and surface roughness. The model(A, B Type cyclone) of the set of fixture and alveolus are made by using a CAE software. Finally, we have obtained a model A Type solution by using orthogonal array. Therefore, it could be confirmed that as the model-A was increased and model-B was decreased, cut diameter was decreased.

This study have goal with conceptual design for Offshore Structures of high pressure control valve for localization. Ball valve for development accomplished with flow analysis based on provision of ANSI B16.34, ANSI B16.10, ANSI B16.25 In order to localize the Offshore Structures high pressure control valve. Numerical simulation using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) in order to predict a mass flow rate and a flow coefficient form flow dynamic point of view. The working fluid assumed the glycerin (C3H8O3). The valve inlet and outlet setup a pressure boundary condition. The outlet pressure was fixed by atmospheric pressure and calculated until increasing 1bar to 10bar. CFD analysis used STAR-CCM+ which is commercial code and Governing equations were calculated by moving mesh which is rotated 90 degrees when ball valve operated opening and closing in 1 degree interval. The result shows change of mass flow rate according to opening and closing angle of valve, Flow decrease observed open valve that equal percentage flow paten which is general inclination of ball valve. Relation with flow and flow coefficient can not be proportional according to inlet pressure when compare with mass flow rate. Because flow coefficient have influence in flow and pressure difference. Namely, flow can be change even if it has same Cv value. The structural analysis used ANSYS which is a commercial code. Stress analysis result of internal pressure in valve showed lower than yield strength. This is expect to need more detail design and verification for stem and seat structure.
